The visit to the Civic Museum is an occasion to shed some light on what a simple walk in the town can offer.
The current museum occupies, besides the adjacent Palazzo del Vescovado, the building of the Loggia della Ragione, already a palace of the municipality in the XIV century, built to accommodate the representatives of the Town Council and of the Magnificent Community of Asolo, and frescoed around the mid XVI century.

The museum contains the following sections:

Archaeology: includes material, dating from Prehistoric times to the Renaissance, found both in the centre and area of Asolo.

Art gallery: houses paintings and tables added to the Museum mainly thanks to the generosity of various donors that have alternated from the nineteenth century to the present.

Treasure of the Cathedral: several sacred vestments, heritage of the Asolan Cathedral are on display.

Caterina Cornaro: dedicated to the Queen, this section displays paintings, drawings and objects that arrived at the Museum mainly thanks to the nineteenth century donations of different personalities.

Eleonora Duse: exhibits material relative to Eleonora Duse, entrusted to the Museum by her daughter Enrichetta. It is varied and ranges from portraits and photographs of the actress to documents, notes and autographed letters, from prizes to personal objects. Some spaces have been left to the memory of Gabriele D’Annunzio of the nineteenth century Asolo and the English poet Robert Browning.
