Rambling:
The walks around Asolo are numerous and for all levels of ability.
You can take to the byways and paths around the city centre or more demanding walks through the Asolan hills and on Mount Grappa.
The walker has a unique environment to wander through, where culture, history, tradition and the beauty of the landscape mix with the rarity of the plant and tree species and the animals in the clearings, in the woods, springs, streams and wells.
Suggestions
Rocca path (time to complete 1.5 hours).
This is the classical "trip around the Fornet", around S. Martino hill, within the grasp of everybody and that gives a complete view of the entire area. The path begins in via San Martino, near the little church of the same name and is certainly one of the most fascinating routes in Asolo.
Buttarella path (time to complete 1 hour).
This is a short path that can be enjoyed whatever the season and certainly a real jewel used since ancient times by the inhabitants of the foothills to reach the centre of Asolo. It offers enchanting views of Asolo's surroundings and the Veneto plain that stands out suddenly through courtyards, gates and creepers placed with infinite skill among the pergolas and the arrangements of the sun-kissed villas nestling in the folds to the south of the city.
Col de Spin natural path
The path marked out amid the hills running from Asolo to Cornuda forming the watershed between the Maser - Caerano plain to the South and the Valcavasia to the North. It begins and ends in the municipality of - Caerano a Sud e la Valcavasia a Nord. Esso inizia e termina nel comune di Maser (but it can also be reached from Asolo), after taking in the municipalities of Monfumo and Cornuda along the way. The itinerary unfolds in an area where man's intervention has lessened year by year. Where this has happened, nature is gaining the upper hand: the wood has run wild, tree trunks crash onto the path almost blocking it, a great number of tree plants are present and also animals find an environment that they like, while the open views into the hills from the collapsed tunnels of the old mines lay bare the internal structure. The itinerary offers different aspects: geological, naturalistic, landscape, historical and cultural.
